BackgroundPEDRO is a contemporary fashion brand renowned for its stylish and sophisticated collections of shoes and bags for both men and women. With a focus on empowering confidence in individuality, PEDRO prides itself on offering effortless fashion essentials that cater to the modern consumer.

This rePEDRO collection was created in response to the urgent challenge of climate change, with a commitment to becoming more responsible in every aspect of production. PEDRO has rethought material choices to prioritise sustainability, actively reducing fashion waste, and reflecting on business operations to minimise environmental impact. Through these efforts, the brand not only provides high-quality products but also engages in meaningful actions toward environmental protection.

We’ve responsibly handled 132.4kg of unwanted shoes and bags through our Take Back Program at ION Orchard and NEX PEDRO outlets, giving these accessories a second chance and starting them on a renewed journey.

Reflection Design has the power to amplify a movement already in motion; I felt as if I was one against the world, and maybe a couple of my colleagues. However, while working on this project and seeing the numbers of the Take Back Programme, it made me realise of the impact that we brought to the world with our little parts in the effort of becoming more responsible humans. I’ve come to realise that it begins with taking responsibility in our own lives, which not only enables us to help other people but also inevitably comes back round to affect our own lives in the end. There is a ripple effect that touches everyone’s reality, and for me that was through a name and an aesthetic representation of that ideal.
